1. Who We Are

Absolute DB is published by SupportCALL AU (ABN 21 498 105 915). The owner and creator of Absolute DB is D.H. Maree.

2. What We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our services.

Website visitors: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We do not use tracking pixels or advertising trackers.
Download registrations: Email address if voluntarily provided at download time.
Support contacts: Name, email address, and the information you include in your enquiry.
Payment information: We do not collect payment card information directly. Billing is handled entirely by our payment processor.

We do not sell, rent, or broker personal data to third parties under any circumstances.

3. How We Use Your Information

Information we collect is used only for the following purposes:

To respond to support, sales, and general enquiries
To send product updates and release announcements — only if you have explicitly opted in
To improve the website experience and product quality
To comply with applicable legal obligations, including Australian tax law

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. The Absolute DB Software

The Absolute DB database software runs entirely on your infrastructure. We have no access to data stored in your Absolute DB instances.

Licence key validation is the only network communication between a standard Absolute DB installation and our servers. During validation, only a hash of the licence key is transmitted — no database contents, schema information, query data, or personally identifiable information ever leaves your server.

Your data stays on your servers. Always. That is a design principle, not just a policy.

5. Data Retention

Support emails: Retained for 3 years from the date of the last interaction.
Server logs: Retained for 90 days, then automatically purged.
Licence records: Retained for the duration of the licence plus 7 years for taxation and legal record-keeping purposes.

You may request early deletion of your personal data at any time. See section 6 below.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with equivalent privacy law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to delete: Request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
Right to restrict processing: Request that we limit how we use your data.
Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to object: Object to processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
